Gorm the old

FROM GUIDE TO UNIQUE STORY - FROM IDEA TO PRODUCT.

Gorm the Old triggers curiosity as he sits there with his impressive charisma and gazes out over the area. He sits here, in Kongernes Jelling, the National Museum, to show the way to all the exciting experiences in the area, in his very own unique way. Gorm sits where he does, because the museum wants to test the idea of an exciting and interesting information stand which is good for all ages. The museum will give passers-by a good chance to get involved and activated and ensure that the dissemination should have a wider audience, rather than a limited one, as ordinary signage often provides.

In half a year, Gorm has been brought to life approx. 23,500 times. It is really many times and therefore a nice result after such a short time.

We have therefore built the StoryTeller around a scenery of Gorm the Old and thereby made it even more inspiring - you turn on his shield and develop energy for the speech in that way. By using this solution, the National Museum has seen the advantage of having the opportunity to change speaks often - It gives them flexibility in the guiding effect that Gorm Den Gamle has, and any seasonal soundscapes can be added - It gives visitors a good experience every time.

THE CIRCLE OF TEST PARTNERS GROWS!

In addition to test partnerships with schools, day care institutions and municipalities, Kongernes Jelling, the National Museum and Vejle Municipality have entered into a test partnership with EnergiLeg. Many of the country's museums are testing new concepts, approaches and activities that can attract a wider audience. Kongernes Jelling, the National Museum and Vejle Municipality have entered a test partnership with EnergiLeg. The aim of the project is to develop and test themed dissemination content with both audiovisual content and historical effects.

‘We will look at the arrival. What journey will we offer the visitors and how could it be, for example, to get Gorm Den Gamle's views on top current topics that you have just heard about on the radio on the way to Jelling? Some of the reasons why we have chosen to test StoryTeller are: StoryTeller is a good at gossip. We can move it around our area over time. It is robust in its construction - it is not yet another app - and then it is not a huge expensive installation. I hope that together with EnergiLeg we can develop something that can be used elsewhere in the Danish museum world.’
