The narrative well

A Completely unique storytelling well and talking tube

The audio installation kit from EnergiLeg is built into the beautiful storytelling well on Sorø's Grønne Scene. The storytelling well is designed so that the robust mechanics, access to electronics and the speaker are optimally located. The handle is produced with a Tombac alloy that fits perfectly into the overall solution provided by Optimus Anlæg A/S. Back in 2017, STED city and landscape architects contacted EnergiLeg, because they wanted a self-sufficient storytelling well supplied by Optimus Anlæg A/S

Sorø has been given a perfect technological solution, which contributes to the transformation of space into an experimental and playful place for culture, movement and learning provided by Optimus anlæg A/S.

AN OUTDOOR LEARNING SPACE HAS BEEN CREATED

The robust hardware and the easily accessible software are ready to be used as a learning space. "We have learned that the most important steps to use our technological solutions in a learning context are

1) Competence development of teachers

2) Hands-on learning materials", says director Sofie Halkjær.

-She continues: "That is why we have developed workshops and a digital sound lab with instructions and specific experiments - you could call it a plug-and-play solution."

In this way, we make it easier for institutions and schools from Sorø Municipality to visit, learn to create their own sound design and hear it in the narrative well. An exciting and different way to learn.

A WORLD OF OPPORTUNITIES

StoryTeller built-in kits can be built into large and small installations, scenery, and walls. See the other examples of unique solutions: Gorm the old. The windmill in Vindtved under ‘References’.

ABOUT SORØS GREEN SCENE

The courtyard between Sorø Library and Sorø Art Museum has been transformed into an experimental and playful place for culture, movement and learning, among other things with support from locals, the construction fund and LAG Midt-Nordvestsjælland. It was designed by STED City and Landscape Architects. A variety of installations invite citizens to express themselves culturally, artistically and physically, while others can use the green scene as a place to relax and let other people enjoy an experience. The installations serve as tools for learning and new knowledge using storytelling, mirror effects and mathematics. Here you can put your personal imprint on a changing time frame, look at the stars in the observatory, hear stories in the storytelling well or take a few steps in the water mirror in the dance island. Both the curiosities and the aesthetic design of the courtyard relate to Sorø's special spirit, where nature and cultural heritage play a special role.
